On Monday 27 March, the Wine Communicators of Australia (WCA) will host its first event of 2017, ‘Taste the State’, at the new International Convention Centre (ICC).

Located in Sydney, the evening will provide guests with an opportunity to taste and learn about hero varietals from New South Wales’ award-winning wine regions.

From the Hunter Valley’s world-renowned semillon and the great shiraz of Hilltops and Canberra, to the more undiscovered regions of New England, Gundagai and the Southern Highlands, sommeliers, retailers and wine communicators are invited to join WCA for a fun and informative master class and tasting that will explore the state’s diversity including terroir, climate, vintage and winemaking.

The event will also explore the perspective of sommeliers and marketers, providing a 360 view on the process of making and selling wine.

Overlooking Sydney Harbour, ICC Sydney is Australia’s premier convention, exhibition and entertainment precinct, boasting a collection of 93 wines with 80 per cent sourced from within New South Wales. ICC Sydney’s very own Beverage Operations and Cellar Manager, William Wilson, will be on hand during the event to talk about the venue and wines.
