Lifestyle publisher Time Out has announced the Time Out Food & Drink Awards 2023 nominees for Sydney and Melbourne across 15 categories, including fine dining, cheap eats, casual drinks and cocktail bars.
Kaylie Smith, Managing Director at Time Out APAC, said in 2023 that Sydney and Melbourne's drinks and dining scene has been buzzing, with more restaurant and bar openings than ever before.
"There have also been more fresh offerings from existing establishments, more innovation and more diversity. Time Out's food and drink critics have had their work cut out for them, eating and drinking their way around Sydney and Melbourne to give readers what Time Out has long specialised in: independent critical starred reviews of the city's best," she said.
People who vote in the people's choice categories will go in the draw to win the Ultimate Drink & Dining Pass in each city, including five $200 vouchers to dine and drink at every one of the 2023 Time Out People's Choice award-winning venues as well as an invitation to one of the Awards nights.
"The whole purpose of the Time Out Food & Drink Awards is to inspire people to get out into these venues so, along with our awards partner Tyro, we're looking forward to giving away a golden ticket to the best of the city," said Smith.
