The results from the annual VIC100 Wine Awards for 2015 are now available.

Held each year to highlight the top 100 wines produced in Victoria, each year the awards also select one wine as the region’s best. Unable to choose just one wine this year however, the prestigious VIC ONE trophy was jointly awarded.

“It was our intention to decide on one winner, a single VIC ONE wine, yet with two such exceptional, yet vastly different wines as this pair, it was impossible for the judging panel to separate one as better than the other”, VIC100 Wine Awards Head Judge and Curator, Nick Stock said.

It was ‘Oakridge Wines 2013 864 Funder and Diamond Vineyard Drive Block Chardonnay’ and ‘Morris Wines Rare Muscat’ that received the top accolade.

Judges liked Oakridge Wines 864 for its modern, racy and complex character of new age chardonnay and the Morris Wines Rare Muscat’s traditional, Victorian fortified style.
