On Friday 25 September, Laphroaig Live will be broadcasted across the world to celebrate the Islay whisky’s 200th anniversary.

The show is set to feature Scottish actor, Sam Heughan from the hit TV series Outlander, German whisky writer Bernard Schafer, Alt Om Whisky’s editor Emma Andersson and Laphroaig Distillery Manager, John Campbell, with an additional live link to Simon Brooking in New York.

Show highlights will include the global launch of the ‘200YR – Opinions Welcome’ film – part of the brand’s current global campaign; a tasting of Laphroaig’s 200th celebratory limited editions; and guest meetings with ex-Laphroaig Distillery Managers.

During the live episode, Laphroaig is also hoping to attempt to hold the World’s largest Laphroaig toast with audience members and viewers.

Viewers this year are expected to exceed last year’s 60,000, who will tune in for the special anniversary.

The episode is being held at 8pm UK time, which means the early hour of 5am for those in Australia, but can be viewed from the comfort of your home, online at www.laphroaig.com/live
