It is believed that the additions will help promote both areas as “exclusively all-inclusive” precincts for locals and those traveling to enjoy a more enjoyable shopping experience.
Waterslide Bar at Southgate
Waterslide’s Venue Manager, Tim Wastell has joined forces with Black Pearl’s Fred Siggins to design a fun and accessible cocktail menu and drinks list that incorporates modern techniques, seasonal ingredients and unique flavour combinations, as well as the highest quality spirits and grower produced wines.
Wastell, Australian Bar Manager of the Year 2009, comes to Waterslide after a year at Rockpool Bar and Grill in Perth, with previous experience at some of Melbourne’s most revered bars including The Blue Diamond on Queen St and The Saint St Kilda.
Waterslide Bar is located at the Princes Bridge end of Southgate on the mid level, adjacent to La Camera.
Located in the heart of Melbourne; Southgate restaurant and shopping precinct is adjacent to the Arts Centre Melbourne on the Yarra River, opposite Flinders Street Station.
Southgate is home to a diverse range of restaurants and bars, including new in 2014, Italian restaurant and wine bar ARTUSI and Bavarian “bier” hall Hophaus. A range of boutique retailers including vintage and fair trade fashion, designer homewares, art deco jewellery and antique art can also be found within the area.
The Village Inn at Paddington’s The Intersection
The Village Inn is the latest venue from bar identity Leeroy Petersen, who last year opened Sydney’s Print Room.
The heritage building has undergone a complete refurbishment, with a fit out evoking old world charm, conseptualised by leading interior specialists Alexander & Co.
Joining Petersen is a talented bunch of industry heavyweights, including Head Chef, Noel Phear (Macleay Street Bistro) and Bar Manager, Sean Bosman (Okku).
The Village Inn is located at 9-11 Glenmore Road, Paddington NSW 2021 and is open for lunch and dinner 12pm until late.
