Sydney’s Annandale Hotel and the newly opened Whitehart Container Bar in Melbourne are supporting The Wild Turkey Way event series this month.
A program of unique activations in the two cities, each evening gives consumers and industry the chance to experience the deep south and features cocktails, art and music inspired by the authentic approach taken by Master Distillers, Jimmy and Eddie Russell.
The Russell family has looked after the popular American bourbon’s traditional distilling process for over 100 years and now locals are encouraged to “do things their way” and showcase what that means at each event.
Artistic impressions of the Wild Turkey ethos transformed on Wild Turkey White Oak barrel lids have been on display at the venues over the last two weeks. Bertie Blackman, Will Coles and Nikolaus Dolman’s were on display at the Annandale Hotel on Thursday 4 May, while Gareth Stehr, Klara and Adrian Doyle’s designs can be seen in Melbourne until the end of May.
Bartenders have been serving up the all-new signature cocktail Wild Turkey Kentucky Firebird at each of the events - a glass smoke-infused with American oak woodchips and a blend of Wild Turkey 101 Grand Marnier, Cinzano Rosso and Maraschino.

Live music was put on by the entertaining Hot Potato Band, plus DJs Henry Stella in Sydney and Wes Champion in Melbourne.
