Vinehealth Australia has appointed Inca Pearce as its new CEO. Pearce had been acting in the role since February, when Alan Nankivell resigned.

Vinehealth Australia is a statutory body funded by South Australian vineyard owners to help protect vines in the state from diseases, pests and other conditions. Pearce was selected for her experience across the wine and viticulture sectors, including 17 years in senior roles at Pernod Ricard Winemakers.

One of Pearce's initial responsibilities will be to oversee the implementation of Vinehealth's five-year strategic plan.

“With the roll-out of our five-year strategic plan this is an important period for Vinehealth Australia and how we support growers and the broader wine industry,” said Pearce.

“I’m looking forward to working with growers and transforming the way in which biosecurity and vine health knowledge and services are delivered to them and industry.”
