Last night, Lion celebrated all of its top performing supplier partnerships at its annual Australia and New Zealand Supplier Recognition Awards. At the event, long-term partner of Lion Visy Glass dominated results, taking home three of the available eight trophies including the title of Supplier of the Year.
“We wish to congratulate not only the Visy Glass team, but all finalists and winners of awards for their ongoing commitment, dedication and hard work they put into our partnerships,” said Jonathon Llewellyn, Chief Procurement Officer at Lion.
"We need those partnerships more than ever to continue to provide consumers with high quality products and deliver our commitment to do the right thing for the long term.”
In addition to the top accolade, Visy Glass - Australia and New Zealand’s largest manufacturer of recycled glass bottles - received awards for Packaging and Sustainability.
“Visy Glass was a winner of three awards last night, which is reflective of the exceptional standard the company consistently delivers to,” added Llewellyn.
Additional categories at last night’s awards include Ingredients, Logistics, Engineering/Site Services, Technology, Diversity, and Sustainability. The award recipients were chosen based on criteria such as delivery performance, quality, customer service, and feedback.
