Wee Smoky, a Scotch whisky brand founded in 2020 specifically with cocktails in mind, has officially debuted in Australia following successful launches in markets such as Germany, China, Luxembourg, Poland, Hong Kong and now Australia.
This follows on from the first batch of Wee Smoky selling out within four days of being put onto the market, before going on to win a Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
By using a base of corn instead of malted barley, Wee Smoky is lighter and sweeter than its traditional Scotch competition and features subtle smoky flavours imparted by the use of ex-peated whisky casks.
Founder Rory Gammell said, “our whisky is for creators. While we have huge respect for the industry, we invite people to challenge the pre-conceived rules associated with Scotch whisky and drink Wee Smoky however they want, with whatever they want.”
Wee Smoky is nationwide now at an RRP of $79. Venues and retailers looking to stock Wee Smoky are encouraged to contact Harry@weesmoky.com.
