Westward Whiskey and Stomping Ground release final US/AUS boilermaker collab

Leading American whiskey producer Westward Whiskey has launched its latest limited-edition release in close collaboration with Australian brewery Stomping Ground and coffee roaster Proud Mary Coffee. The Westward Whiskey Small Batch Selection Strong Ale with Coffee Cask Finish was aged in the same casks used in the production of the trios previous 2022 collaboration, the Stomping Ground Westward Whiskey Barrel-Aged Strong Ale with Coffee.

Additionally, Stomping Ground has launched its Into The ‘Wood 2024, a barrel aged strong ale infused with Proud Mary Coffee.

"Though together our collaborations yield delicious results, we're proud to share so many similarities with our friends at Stomping Ground and Proud Mary - most significant of which are our ethos and desire to innovate,” said Miles Munroe, Master Blender at Westward Whiskey.

To commemorate the partnership, Australian distributor Iconic Beverages is offering a Boilermaker pairing bundle for what might be the last partnership between the producers: “This special Boilermaker bundle marks the culmination of a five-year journey,” wrote Iconic Beverages in a recent media release.

Included in the Boilermaker pairing bundle is a 375ml bottle of Westward Whiskey Small Batch Selection Strong Ale with Coffee Cask Finish and a two-pack of Stomping Ground’s Into The ‘Wood 2024 series. The bundle is available for purchase now from Stomping Ground’s online store at an RRP of $125.

Westward Whiskey Small Batch Selection Strong Ale with Coffee Cask Finish

Aroma: Rich strawberries and cream, with bright grass, toasted almond, mint, marmalade, and walnut
Palate: Sweet cocoa and fruit, reminiscent of Tootsie Rolls; toffee and blueberry with hints of grain and beer
Finish: Big coffee flavours linger, along with citrus, geranium and more nuttiness. Roasted nuts, more chocolate and dark roast coffee finish out the experience.
ABV: 50%

Stomping Ground Into The ‘Wood 2024 Series Whiskey Barrel-Aged Strong Ale with Coffee

Notes: Proud Mary cold brew and golden syrup was added to this Strong Ale after months resting in Westward Whiskey barrels, layering roasty espresso, chocolate, delicate blackberry subtleties and sticky caramelized character, over the ingrained oak and vanilla notes.
