Wild Turkey partnered with the Australian Hotels Association NSW this month to provide relief to venues in regions affected by the recent floods. With much of the east coast being declared a natural disaster zone in March, the program was designed to support both venues and communities impacted by the flooding.

As part of the initiative, Wild Turkey is offering its assistance to 50 selected venues in NSW’s worst-affected regions, donating Wild Turkey bourbon and ready-to-drink products which can be purchased on premise. Participating venues have been asked to donate at least fifty percent of proceeds from Wild Turkey stock sold to the St Vincent de Paul Society as part of its partnership with the AHA NSW “When it rains, we pour!” fundraising campaign. The donations will help to provide immediate and long-term relief to flood victims.

Venues including Bird in Hand Inn, Pitt Town and West Kempsey Hotel which acted as community drop-off pointsfor supplies during the flooding, along with the Wiseman’s Ferry Inn, where families forced to leave their homes due to the floods are currently being accommodated. The initiative is part of Wild Turkey’s continued support of the industry, especially in tough times. A full list of participating venues is available here.

Wild Turkey’s spokesperson Paolo Marinoni said, “The selected venues and the communities they serve have had a really trying few months following the floods. It’s in our DNA to help out our fellow Australians, especially during such times and we hope this initiative will offer some respite.

“We know that our local pubs and venues hold a special place in the community. In recognition of that, and as part of our dedication to our industry partners, we wanted to lend a hand to support and provide some much-needed relief as they look to recover and rebuild.”
