Fifty-five early industry professionals have been named as part of the 2022 Wine Industry Mentor Program.
The pool of candidates includes wine marketers, winemakers, viticulturists, researchers, wine students, wine retailers and sommeliers. Mentors this year include Wynns Coonawarra's Cath Kidman, Quay's Shanteh Wale, Tucker Seabrook's Rob Hirst, Stella Bella Wine's Luke Joliffe and Gemtree Wines' Mike Brasher.
Industry partners Australian Society of Viticulture and Oenology, the University of Adelaide, Wine Australia, Wine Industry Suppliers Association, and Wine Communicators of Australia give early career wine sector professionals the opportunity to connect with like-minded ambitious peers, grow their knowledge and inspire them to be the best they can be.
Organisers say one of the drivers of the Australian wine industry’s global success has been the willingness of those in the industry to share their knowledge and expertise. The full list of the 2022 mentees is below and the program will run until the end of November.
