The Winemakers' Federation of Australia has announced Tony Battaglene as Acting CEO, following Paul Evans' resignation earlier this year.
Mr. Battaglene, WFA's current General Manager of Strategy and International Affairs, will step into the role on 8 April.
WFA told media, "Tony brings a wealth of experience and relationships to the role having been at WFA for some 16 years in which time he has significantly progressed the Australian industry’s interests in both domestic and international trade and wine forums.
"His appointment will ensure the momentum behind WFA’s discussion with Government on boosting industry support and WET rebate reform will be maintained as we approach the May Federal Budget, a new financial year and an election."
The WFA Board will continue to look for a permanent replacement while Mr. Battaglene covers.
