The Aussie barbecue is a long standing tradition in our culture, however where this once meant tossing a few snags on the outdoor gas barbecue, there are now increasing numbers of Aussies taking backyard barbecuing to new heights, putting their own take on America’s ‘low and slow’ style of cooking.

Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a big supporter of the Australian competitive barbecue scene firmly believing that bourbon and barbecue go hand in hand and is currently one of the major sponsors for Meatstock Festival happening in February.

To celebrate the start of what is sure to be a massive weekend of meat, Buffalo Trace is hosting a VIP Pre-Party on Friday 12 February from 6pm. The night will be hosted by TV personality and hardcore carnivore Jess Pryles and is guarantees to provide people with the opportunity to taste world class bourbon, mingle with some of the big names in Australian and American barbecue and enjoy low and slow style barbecue from Sydney’s very own Bovine & Swine Barbecue Co.

Tickets are available from Eventbrite for $55 and include dinner and two bourbon cocktails.
