One of Australia's oldest wineries, All Saints Estate, has opened doors to its new world-class Cellar Door, with the launch of its restaurant KIN to follow shortly.
The two-phased launch follows a multi-million dollar redevelopment by the Brown siblings- Eliza, Nick and Angela - a development intended to position the award winning winery as a leading international wine tourism destination in Australia.
The Brown siblings engaged renowned firm Technē Architecture + Interior Design to restore the heritage-listed castle built in 1864.
“This tremendous redevelopment will not only lift the profile of Rutherglen as an international tourist destination, but also inject more energy into the region. We have modernised this space while maintaining the castle’s authenticity. The project provides connection to our incredible landscape and acknowledges our rich family history, in addition to delivering an exceptional experience for our customers,” says Eliza Brown, Director, All Saints Estate.
Through the Cellar Door, a concrete walkway leads to the tasting area with a bullnose-shaped terrazzo and timber bar for wine tasting site or relaxed drinks.
Three tiers of tasting experiences will introduce visitors to the breadth of the Estate wines, including its acclaimed Muscats and Muscadelles and wines from the Limited Release and Family Cellar ranges.
The new restaurant KIN opens out to stunning vistas of the vineyard and duck pond and its modern-Australian menu will feature the very best of the northeast region’s produce with ingredients thoughtfully sourced from All Saints Estate.
All Saints Estate Cellar Door is open daily from 10am - 5pm, seating 50 guests. Booking are now available at allsaintswine.com.au.
