SodaStreamThe leading global manufacturer and distributor of sparkling water makers, SodaStream, has created a system that allows consumers to make their own beer at home.

The home beer system is named Beer Bar and mixes beer concentrate with sparkling water to create a freshly carbonated beer within seconds. The first beer concentrate to launch with Beer Bar is Blondie light beer – a smooth and hop filled beer with 4.5% ABV.

A litre of Blondie yields approximately three litres of beer.

“We are excited to launch a brand dedicated to serving the global growing trend of home crafted beer,” Mark Fenton, Managing Director of SodaStream Australia said.

“Our core carbonation technology and distribution infrastructure provide a great platform for us to extend our business into this emerging category, and we choose to do so with a dedicated beer brand.”

The Beer Bar has launched in Switzerland and Germany. SodaStream Australia is currently working through the potential of launching the system here.
