Taylors Wines’ St Andrews range has won gold across all of its latest vintages at the Beverage Testing Institute’s World Wine Championships in Chicago. The wine picked up gold medals for its 2013 shiraz, 2013 cabernet, 2014 chardonnay and 2012 & 2015 riesling.

The World Wine Championships is America’s oldest annual international wine competition. It is a medal-based competition, with each awarded based on the 100-point scale. Wines are judged blind by the Beverage Testing Institute’s trained staff, together with top wine professionals and buyers from retail and restaurants.

The awards follow further success for the St Andrews range, which also recently received medals for its 2012 (silver), 2013 (gold), 2014 (silver) and 2015 (silver) riesling at the Drinks Business Global Riesling Masters held in the UK.

Produced from hand selected parcels of fruit from individual blocks on the iconic St Andrews vineyard, St Andrew wines are quickly becoming benchmark examples of great Clare Valley wine around the world.

Taylors third generation Managing Director, Mitchell Taylor, said he was excited to end the year on such a high note.
