Tales of the Cocktail has revealed the top 10 Asia-Pacific finalists for each category in its Spirited Awards 2020.

The Tales of the Cocktail Foundation has announced it is moving forward with the 14th annual Tales of the Cocktail Foundation Spirited Awards during COVID-19 in an effort to recognise the depth of talent across the global spirits community.

"While events and awards ceremonies are getting postponed and cancelled across the world in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Foundation feels it is more important now than ever to continue to honour the professionals, organisations and establishments that have enhanced the industry," it said.

This year, a record number of Spirited Awards submissions were received across all categories.

Here are the Australian nominees:

Best International High Volume Cocktail Bar (Asia-Pacific): Black Pearl — Melbourne; Eau de Vie — Melbourne; Old Mate’s Place — Sydney; Opera Bar —  Sydney; The Barber Shop — Sydney; The Baxter Inn — Sydney.

Best Bar Team (Asia-Pacific): Bulletin Place — Sydney; Cantina OK! — Sydney; MAYBE SAMMY — Sydney; and Old Mate’s Place — Sydney.

Best International Cocktail Bar (Asia-Pacific): Above Board — Melbourne; Bulletin Place — Sydney; Cantina OK! — Sydney; MAYBE SAMMY — Sydney; and PS40 —  Sydney.

Best Restaurant Bar (Asia-Pacific): Bar Torino — Adelaide; Capitano — Carlton; Continental Deli Bar Bistro— Newtown; Icebergs Dining Room Bar — Bondi Beach; Mjølner — Sydney; Restaurant Hubert — Sydney; and Rosenbaum & Fuller — Bondi Beach.

Best New Cocktail Bar (Asia-Pacific): Bar Margaux — Melbourne; Byrdi — Melbourne; Isabel — Bondi Beach; and Will’s — Coogee Beach (pictured main).
