Following on from last year’s Cellar Door at Sea, Taylors Wines will continue its summer celebration of how to perfectly chill reds with the unveiling of the Summer House of Shiraz.
The Summer House will open its doors (and private jetty) from December 7-8, as the family-owned winery transforms a stunning Point Piper abode into an exclusive summer backdrop for temperature themed red wine tastings.
From Pinot Noir, to Tempranillo, through to Shiraz – the Summer House is designed to challenge the notion that red wines are only for cozy winter nights indoors, but can actually be a refreshing drop all year round through the importance of serving temperature.
My Kitchen Rules winner Will Stewart will be preparing a selection of matched summer dishes to accompany a selection of Taylors award-winning reds. This will be done in an open kitchen format.
Guests will be transferred by private water taxi from Rose Bay to the secret Point Piper location to take part in the unique temperature led pairings.
Once ashore, the 90-minute immersive experience will commence as guests explore the various red varieties on show and their ideal serving temperatures.
After selecting their favourite red from the menu, guests will have time to relax, dip their feet in the pool, play a game of bocce on the waterfront lawn or simply relax and soak in the start of summer on Sydney Harbour.
Tickets for Taylors Summer House of Shiraz are available now, with 90-minute sessions available from 12pm – 9pm on Saturday December 7 and Sunday December 8 2019.
Tickets are $55 (plus booking fee) each and include return private water transfers to and from the Taylors Summer House of Shiraz, a selection of wines and matching dishes from the Summer House Chef.
