Proximo Spirits’ 1800 Silver Tequila and Mike Skinner, frontman of London garage band The Streets, have joined forces to release a limited-edition tequila bottle design and a song crafted to complement the venture.

The limited-edition bottle, a product of the creative fusion between 1800 and Mike Skinner, the prominent figure behind ‘The Streets’ known for his influence on UK garage music and street culture, has been designed keeping ‘The Streets’ distinctive style in mind.

This design showcases lyrics from Mike’s track, ‘Turn Your Face Into The Sun,’ incorporating urban elements, lighting effects, and shadows on 500 exclusive limited-release bottles.

The bottle design, inspired by the lyrics of ‘Turn Your Face into The Sun,’ captures urban life, illuminations, and shadows, with a silhouette at a bus stop paying homage to the band’s 2004 album ‘A Grand Don’t Come for Free.’

The label features an urban scene printed on the back of the bottle, creating a miniature world within.

1800 Tequila is crafted from 100% Blue Weber Agave, chosen from the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.

The liquid undergoes double distillation, and a unique blend of white tequilas is curated to add depth and character. The iconic bottle design is reminiscent of ancient Mayan stone pyramids.

1800 Tequila, under the ownership of Proximo Spirits, supports and celebrates artists through its Essential Artists series.

This latest venture with Mike Skinner of The Streets, inspired by the band’s new single, confirms its commitment to artistic creativity.

Mike Skinner said, “1800 Tequila stands behind artists who celebrate its vision much like I approached my new album and film. I can’t wait for others to get their hands on my limited-edition bottle with 1800, a celebration of creativity and independent thinking.”

“I composed this song while putting the final touches on my new album and film, ‘The Darker The Shadow, The Brighter The Light.’

“I appreciate the craftsmanship that 1800 focuses on, and our joint creative endeavour, the song and the bottle, feel truly unique and purposeful. They have consistently collaborated with forward-thinking artists and creators, and I am thrilled to be the next in line.”

Each of the 500 bottles is uniquely numbered and bears Skinner’s signature, available for purchase from Master of Malt.
