This week, three different drinks brands from three different countries have announced exclusive partnerships with leading Australian fine-dining establishments. This includes Champagne Lallier partnering with Rockpool Bar & Grill for activations in Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney, Cháteau Tanunda partnering with Sydney’s Luna Lu, and Diplomático partnering with Morena, Sydney.

Champagne Lallier x Rockpool Bar & Grill

Champagne Lallier, which recently released to Australia the latest vintage of its Réflexion series, the R.020, has announced a series of exclusive consumer events in partnership with Rockpool Bar & Grill venues in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

Attendees to the event will be treated to a six-course menu curated by Executive Chef Santiago Aristizabal, with each course designed to pair with a unique expression of Champagne Lallier. Guests will also be rewarded with insights from the hosts of the events, including Lallier brand ambassador Claudio Spahiu (Sydney), Tracy Mann (Perth), and Champagne expert Sara Underdown (Melbourne).

In addition to the Lallier Réflexion R.020, the event will also feature Lallier’s Réflexion R.019, Blanc De Blancs, Millesime 2014, Grand Rosé, and Grand Cru.

The three dinners will take place on Wednesday 7 August at 6pm, with all-inclusive tickets priced at $299 a head. For more information or to reserve a spot, click here

Diplomático x Morena

On Monday, Drinks Trade staff attended an exclusive launch event inaugurating a month-long partnership between Diplomático Rum and Morena. The partnership involves an exclusive A Taste of Venezuela menu curated by Head Chef and Venezuelan-born Samuel Rivas. Each of the four-courses in the menu has been crafted to pair with a different Diplomático rum or cocktail.

The partnership trails shortly behind National World Rum Day, which occurred last Saturday 13 July. It also coincides with the first Australian visit of Diplomático’s Head Distiller and Blender Nelson Hernandez. Drinks Trade staff had the opportunity to catch up with Hernandez during his stay, in which he gave insight into some of the unique production methods used at Diplomático.

“We do a number of things differently at the distillery. We use five different and unique types of stills that each result in very different new-make spirit. This is quite unique in Venezuela where most of the producers use only column stills,” he said.

“We are thrilled to be extending our World Rum Day celebrations all month long, by giving Australians the chance to find their new favourite rum cocktail with our first ever complimentary offer,” said Diplomático’s Brand Manager Dany Karpf.

Morena’s ‘Taste of Venezuela’ chef’s selection menu will be available from up until 12 August at a cost of $150 per person.

Château Tanunda x Luna Lu

Up until the end of August, Château Tanunda will be offering Sydneysiders an exclusive harbour-side dining experience as part of its Luna Lu Dining Dome takeover. The Dining Dome experience features a four-course menu each paired with a different Château Tanunda wine.

“The Luna Lu team has crafted a delicious menu that is expertly paired with Château Tanunda wines exclusively for the Dining Dome experience,” said Michelle Geber, Château Tanunda’s Managing Director.

“It’s truly an excellent opportunity to take in Sydney this winter… Between Château Tanunda’s iconic winemaking and the incredible views of the Harbour from Luna Lu, a luxury experience like the Dining Dome was fitting.”

The dining experience will feature some wines from Cháteau Tanunda’s recently released 2024 collection, with guests presented with an option between white and red wines for certain courses.

Drinks Trade recently attended Cháteau Tanunda’s 2024 collection launch event, which also took place at Luna Lu.

Up until the end of August, Four Cháteau Tanunda Dining Dome experience sessions will be conducted daily at a price of $200 per person. For more information and to book, click here.
