Vale Brewing has launched its newest addition, the Vale Mid Coast Bright Ale, announced a small batch release of The Gauntlet ESB.

The Vale Mid Coast Bright Ale pays tribute to the brewery’s home in McLaren Vale region. Vale Head Brewer, Jeff Wright, said, “Mid Coast Bright Ale is a testament to the beautiful South Australian coastline where the brewery is located. The Mid Coast is home to some of South Australia’s most stunning beaches and coastline and we are lucky enough to be a part of it at our Willunga Brewery.

“We saw the opportunity in the market to create a Bright Ale that doesn’t compromise on flavour. The Bright Ale is our tribute to summer on the Mid Coast.”

Incorporating Australian Cascade and Victoria Secret hops, the Vale Mid Coast Bright Ale boasts a crisp and fruity, medium-bitterness flavour at 3.5% ABV.

Only 60 kegs of The Gauntlet ESB, ABV 4.5%, has been released to selected venues across Australia, to be available on tap.

Jeff Wright described the flavour, “This beer was made using all English malts, yeast and mostly English hops. The malt flavours are the hero of this drop with a yeast, bitter finish on the palate. All round easy drinker and crowd pleaser.”

In addition to the new brew, Vale Brewing has announced that thanks to the acquisition of a canning line earlier this year, its Vale Ale, Vale Lager and new Vale Mid Coast Bright Ale are now available in a new 375ml can format.

The Mid Coast Bright Ale is available at RRP $68.99 per Carlton, RRP $19.99 per six pack and RRP $3.80 per single.
