De Bortoli Wines' NV Black Noble has been awarded Best Wine from Australia at the 2022 Hong Kong International Wine & Spirit Competition, Asia's most prestigious wine and spirit competition while Australian Distilling Co's Tasmanian Gin was awarded the trophies for Best Gin- and Best Distilled Dry Gin (Contemporary).

The De Bortoli Noble One Botrytis Semillon 2018 won Best Sweet White Wine from Australia, while the trophy for Best Red Wine went to Margaret River's Peccavi Wines 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon and Best Dry White Wine went to Sevenhill Inigo Riesling 2022 from the Clare Valley.

Senior Winemaker Julie Mortlock said, "Hong Kong is a country that De Bortoli Wines have been selling wines to over many years and we are proud to be recognised by the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirit Competition expert judging panel lead by Debra Meiburg MW recently with the 2018 Noble One and NV Black Noble.

"A competition that showcases not only the very best wines but those that compliment the Asian cuisine that they are tasted alongside. It's a competition we have had a long association with and success for both these wines over a number of years."

This win for De Bortoli follows its win as the Best Fortified Wine at the 2022 NSW Wine Awards and comes as Noble One's celebrates its 40th vintage.

Michael Hickinbotham, Founder, Australian Distilling Co said, “At Australian Distilling Co, we strive to capture the genuine essence and flavours of Australia in every bottle we distil, so to receive such high recognition on the international stage is a huge achievement and an honour. Our Tasmania Gin is made with the finest ingredients to truly capture the spirit of the magnificent island it was named after.”
