Yalumba has ended its sponsorship with the Oakbank Racing Club (ORC) following a strategic review of the business.

The review has also seen Yalumba end a number of other national partnerships, including its sponsorship of the Eastern Suburbs Rugby Club, Good Food & Wine Show, Oakbank Racing Club and Bendigo Jockey Club (as of 31 July 2015).

“After many years of support, Yalumba made the decision to conclude its sponsorship of the Oakbank Racing Club following the conclusion of the 2014 racing season. We met with the ORC in August of last year to deliver this news”, the company said of the decision.

“This decision was made following an annual business review of all of our sponsorship properties to ensure they are in line with the future marketing and business goals for brand Yalumba.”

Instead, Yalumba says it will focus its brand presence at key events such as Good Food Month nationally and WOMADelaide; those that “align with our overarching marketing plan and target market”, the company added.
