Brogan’s Way Distillery took home two major trophies at last week’s 2020 Australian Distilled Spirits Awards (ADSA). They are further proof that Brogan Carr, the 26 year old distiller from Richmond, s a talent on the rise.

The trophies awarded to Brogan's Way were for its Batch Zero Vodka including the Champion Australian Small Batch Vodka and the Champion Vodka. Brogan’s Way also won a gold medal in the Contemporary Vodka category.

For Carr this is a dream come true. “To win these awards in our second year of operation is beyond my wildest dreams and we couldn’t be prouder. Dad and I created this Batch Zero Vodka to complement our range of gins and the recognition it has received at this year’s ADSA is so encouraging,” she said.

For their popular gins, Brogan’s Way won a gold medal for its Woman’s Work Gin, which they produced in collaboration with The Sparkke Beverage Company, in the Old Tom category.

These awards top off a successful year for Brogan’s Way who also won two silver awards for their Hearts Afire and Royal Blood gins at the London Spirits Competition and one at the International Wine & Spirits Competition earlier this year.

CEO and Managing Director of Mighty Craft, Mark Haysman is excited about Brogan’s Way’s achievements.

“For such a young brand, the Brogan’s Way team has achieved incredible results and these awards are a true reflection of Brogan’s extraordinary talents as a distiller and white spirits specialist.

"We are thrilled to have the Brogan’s Way brand in our portfolio and excited to see what Brogan can achieve in the future. She’s definitely one to watch,” he said.

Established in 2015, the ADSA is the first and only national awards program recognising excellence in Australian distilled spirits and liqueurs and are judged by Australia’s leading experts in spirits.
